PROJECT OVERVIEW
The underpass provided is part of the Perth Town Lade footway/ cycleway / equestrian route which support the new B9993 Ruthvenfield Link Road. The original design was an asset MultiPlate arch sitting on top of the Lade culvert.
PROBLEM SOLVED
During the design process, the underpass’ location moved and is now parallel to, but higher in the embankment than the Lade culvert. With asset’s value engineering input, a closed ring structure is chosen to eliminate the needs of foundation slabs.
asset MultiPlate MP200 UnderPass length: 58.25m.

I read the post about the Multiplate at A9 Crieff Road, and it made me think about how these structures help protect roads and bridges from wear by water and weather, which sounded more interesting than I expected. During a busy term I once had to management assignment writing service while learning about project planning and site checks in class, so the engineering and planning part really stuck with me. It made me see that careful design ahead of time helps things last longer.
The page shows the underpass’s length and its role in supporting new roads, which really stands out. sig fig counter
